I've been a huge fan of these wonderful little inventions ever since I can remember. A lot of my childhood is defined by the memories I have around movies. One of my most vivid recollections of my youth was watching Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom on my dads old betamax player and practically wearing out the tape! My love for films has never diminished since then.
In short a big part of my life has revolved around my interest in the movie industry and I wanted to do something that would allow me to fuel this interest a little further.
I still love watching films but in these days of social media and digital communication I thought what better than to set up my own blog and discuss all things film with other like minded people. After all, isn't it the purpose of any good movie to ensure that it is discussed long after the end credits have rolled and you and your group of friends are sat in the snug of the local pub consuming a couple of pints? We've all had or heard the arguments as to whether this was an 'oscar-winning performance by DiCaprio' or why 'DeNiro just doesn't seem to make good films anymore?' but it's not always possible to attend movies with the people you'd like to attend them with these days so hopefully this site will provide a healthy bit of discussion and debate .
Subsequently, armed with a degree in Film Studies and a decent talent at writing (of which I must admit feels a bit rusty these days) I think this blog could be the perfect opportunity to marry my two biggest interests and add my review for each new movie I see at the cinema to hopefully help people decide whether or not to bother watching themselves.
As always please comment and feel free to debate any of the posts placed on this blog - that's the whole point of me putting this together!
So until I hear from you, and in the words of Arnie - "Hasta La Vista Baby!"
